Reader's Advisory Training

Helping library users find the right reading material for them can be exciting and fun for library staff, but it can also be daunting. We never feel like we know enough, especially about genres we donít read personally, and this can make us fear appearing ignorant in front of patrons. In this two-hour session, Christopher McGee, Director of User Experience with the Allegany County Library System, will share tips and activities he uses to help Allegany staff feel more comfortable and confident offering readerís advisory services.
