This course teaches participants how to plan and write effective business correspondence and includes email applications and protocols. It examines current writing styles and techniques for correcting, editing and developing more professionally written documents.
Course Topics and Learning Outcomes include: planning; tone; audience analysis; editing to ensure clear, concise and correct business memos and emails; and, email protocol and etiquette.
Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:
• Analyze the audience for a memo or email
• Develop a proper plan for a written memo
• Demonstrate the use of appropriate tone in written communications
• Proofread and edit for tone and persuasiveness
• Write professional and appropriate e-mail memos
• Explain the basic rules of effective email correspondence
• Write more effective business communications

Lunch will be served for this class.
