"Introduction to Discord and Roll20 for Teen Programming"

Special Youth Services session:
"Introduction to Discord and Roll20 for Teen Programming"
So you have a Discord account-what to do with it? So you have teens who want to play Dungeons and Dragons virtually-how to do that? These questions and more will be answered during this Introduction to Discord and Roll20 as two platforms that can help provide library teen programming. Come hear from Will Malkus, BCPL, and Elaine Conway Sarlo, Queen Anne’s County Library, as they share their experiences with Discord and Roll20, respectively, for Dungeons & Dragons programming as well as other gaming options. After learning about the basics, usage needs, time investments, and extensions of each platform, there will be plenty of time for questions, sharing, and collaborative discussion about ways to reach teens virtually.

Participants will be able to:
--Understand the mechanics/steps of planning a program using either platform: Discord or Roll20.
--Identify which platform meets their needs for Dungeons & Dragons teen programming.
--Learn about extended use of both platforms for teen programming beyond Dungeons & Dragons.
