- State Library Resource Center (SLRC) offers a variety of professional development opportunities for librarians in Maryland, including online courses, in-person training, and conferences. Webinar archives (free).

SkillSoft Login Sponsored by Maryland State Library, the Maryland Library SkillPort provides Maryland public library staff with access to thousands of non-library specific online courses.  Courses are FREE and available for access 24/7 via your web browser.  Please ask your supervisor or staff development coordinator about how to get started.  After you are registered and login, please read the SkillPort home page to learn more.  See this Catalog link to get a listing of available courses (IT, Desktop and Business only).  There is also a  Learner Orientation developed by Baltimore County Public Library and  Discussion Guides for supervisory courses.

WebJunction Course Catalog Sponsored by Maryland State Library in partnership with other state library agencies and organizations, the WebJunction Course Catalog provides library staff with access to many library specific online courses.  Courses are FREE and a certificate is provided by WebJunction when a course is complete.
